Teaching grades

The Universitat Rovira i Virgili offers forty-eight undergraduate degrees, distributed over six Campuses located at different points of South-Catalonia, fundamentally in the cities of Tarragona, Reus and Tortosa. The fact that the Department of Economics teaches in four of these Campuses demonstrates its transverse character.

The current university structure promotes compulsory courses in the initial levels of the university studies. Inside the new study plans, courses related to Economics are present in degrees as diverse as Law, Tourism or Journalism. Certainly, these courses are fundamental in the degrees of Economics, Administration and Management Sciences and Finance and Accounting. These degrees are offered in the  Faculty of Economics and Business , located at Campus Bellisens in Reus.

With regard to postgraduate degrees, the Department of Economics organizes the Master in International Markets. Our Master's degree is certified by the Spanish Ministry of Education and recognized by private and public institution.

Additionally, since 2004, the Department of Economics organizes jointly with the Department of Management Sciences, the Doctorate Program in Economics and Business. This program has been recognized by the Ministry of Education and Science, and has been the key element to fulfil at its highest level the formative task of the Department of Economics.

The Department of Economics complements its formative offer with the annual organization of three events: the Symposium of Economics, the Health Economics Meeting (Campus Bellisens) and the Terres de l'Ebre Economics Meeting (Campus Terres de l’Ebre), activities oriented to students and professors of the University, as well as to professionals interested in economic-related issues.
