María Jesús Muiños is an associate professor at the Rovira i Virgili University. She holds a PhD in History from Universitat de Barcelona with an extraordinary PhD dissertation award (1991).

Her research interests are focused on contemporaneous history, specifically, on issues related to network and dependence during the period of the restoration. Currently she works on the history of economic institutions.
