Grup de Recerca en Organització i Decisió Econòmiques (GRODE)

Introduction

Members of the Economic Organization and Decision research group (GRODE) conduct research in such areas as social choice, political economics, financial markets, industrial organization, economic policy, contract theory and game theory.

Since the constitution of GRODE at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili in 2005, its members have been successful in attracting competitive research projects financed by the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science, the Generalitat of Catalunya and other public and private institutions

Different GRODE members have been head reaserchers of the group:

Jan. 2005 - Dec. 2006: Antonio Quesada

Jan. 2007 - Jun. 2009: Bernd Theilen

Jul. 2009 - present: Carolina Manzano

In the same period GRODE members have presented research at more than 20 international conferences. In recent years, they have published over 40 scholarly articles indexed in JCR (Journal Citation Reports), including articles in leading economics journals such as Economic Theory, Games and Economic Behavior, International Journal of Game Theory, Journal of Finance, Journal of Mathematical Economics, Journal of the European Economic Association, Social Choice and Welfare, and Rand Journal of Economics.

Their current research is available online in the Economics Department working paper series and the working paper series of the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics.

GRODE holds an internal seminar series where they present their work in progress, which occasionally has included external speakers.
