Victòria Soldevila is an associate professor at the department of
Economics of Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV). She has a Bachelor Degree in
Economics from Universitat de Barcelona (UB) and a Post-Graduate Diploma in
International Comparative Rural Policy Studies from Universitat Autònoma de
Barcelona (UAB). She obtained her PhD in 2008 from UB.
Before joining the faculty of URV, Victòria taught at UB, École
Supérieure de Commerce de Toulouse (ESEC) in Barcelona and Universidad Nacional
Autónoma de Nicaragua (UNAM) in Managua. More recently, she visited twice the
Rural Development Institute of the University of Brandon (Canada), and she
participated in the ICPRS Summer School courses of the University of Guelph
(Canada) and the Katholieke Universiteit of Leuven (Belgium).
Her research interests include Agricultural Economy, Rural
Development and Post-Socialist Economies. Her publication “Les repercussions de
la Directiva Nitrats sobre la filière porcina a Catalunya” won the Llovet i
Monrós Prize in Agricultural Studies in 2008.
