Montserrat Ferre is Associate professor of Economics at Universitat Rovira i
Virgili. During the academic year 2009-2010 she was a member of the dean’s
office. She holds a Ph.D in Economics from the London Business School
(University of London). She also has a Masters degree in Economics from the
London School of Economics and a Diploma in European Studies from the College
of Europe (Bruges, Belgium).
Montserrat has taught at Universitat de Barcelona, London School of
Economics and Boston University (Brussels). She has been a Fulbright Research
Scholar at the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies (Georgia State University)
during the academic year 2010-2011.
Her research interests focus on fiscal and monetary policy
interactions within a monetary union, analysis of central bank interventions in
the foreign exchange market and exchange rates’ behavior. She has published in
the Journal of Common Market Studies and the Journal of Policy Modeling, among
others.
